And the countermeasures to alleviate the tension between doctors and patients are proposed to provide the basis for promoting the harmonious relationship between doctors and patients. Nowadays, the tension between doctors and patients has become a social problem that cannot be ignored. The relationship between doctors and patients can not only affect the development of health care in China, but also become a very worried problem that affects the life of everyone.

In order to promote the development of China's medical and health undertakings, to serve the people well, and to effectively solve the problem of the people's medical treatment. On the basic conditions of our country, we have to work together to build a harmonious relationship between doctors and patients.

Current situation of the relationship between doctors and patients: In recent years, frequent disputes between doctors and patients, even frequent clashes between the two sides always happened.

Now, relationship between doctors and patients from the normal one goes to verbal violence, physical conflict or even vicious incident, doctor-patient conflicts are escalating. The most fundamental cause of the tension between the doctors and patients is that the system is not perfect in our country, which includes the management system, compensation mechanism, medical insurance system, laws, regulations, and so on. Since the reform and opening up, the medical institutions join market competition, government spending on health has reduced, medical insurance system is not developed, medical malpractice laws and regulations are not very good, regulatory division of responsibilities is not clear enough, some policies let doctors and patients feel at a loss.

Those problems in the system is the basis problem of the tense relationship between doctors and patients. With the rapid development of society, People’s living standards have markedly improved. Many people strengthen the consciousness of health , they pay more attention to their own and their family’s health status. Their emphasis on disease prevention and their diagnosis and treatment also improves. However, there are still many diseases that can not be treated currently.

Doctors can do only three things, reduce the pain, prolong life, improve the quality of life. Many patients do not know this. Once the effect of treatment is not reached, patients easily tend to think of hospitals and doctors do not try their best. Such unreasonable demands and expectations affect the relationship between doctors and patients. 2.3 Doctors are always with low income, but high pressure, high risk, high adverse media reports and high negative public opinion.

Some doctors often feel depressed, take a bad working attitude to treat the diseases of their patients. So they can rarely concerned about the psychological feelings of the patients. Sometimes when doctors need to face the patients’ questions, they even treat impatiently such as ignoring. However some patients will not communicate with the doctors and this will easily become the intensification of the doctor-patient conflicts.

In order to seek buying points, media often pay too much attention to the problems that hospitals and doctors take. They do not stand in the right position of the objective, trying to put the opposition of patients and medical staff. So make some false reports. Due to lack of public awareness and understanding of medical knowledge, they don’t know medical high risk and limitation.

And part of the media put the doctor-patient relationship into consumer behavior relationship in commercial circulation.
